Graphite Inc

graphite inc is a mining company with a portfolio of graphite properties in North America. The Company owns the Walker, Wallingford and East Miller properties in Quebec and the Page property in Ontario.

The Company's Graphite One Project is developing to become an American producer of high-grade anode materials integrated with a U.S. graphite resource for the electric vehicle lithium ion battery market. The Company is currently preparing to complete a 2022 Pre-Feasibility Study on its proposed project, and will continue to pursue its goal of becoming an American producer with a proven graphite resource.

G1's Graphite Creek Property is located approximately 60 kilometers north of Nome, Alaska and the Company expects to mine the graphite resource from this property for processing into concentrate at a nearby plant. The concentrate would be processed into natural and artificial graphite anode materials for use in the production of lithium-ion batteries, and other products used in advanced energy storage systems.

Graphite is a soft, brittle, and often opaque grey metallic sheath with a very high carbon content. It is typically mined using open pit and underground methods, and it requires beneficiation, which involves crushing the rock and separating it from its gangue by flotation or acid leaching. The gangue can be silicate, alkali, or carbonate.
